Walks Programme - About the walks

About the walks

  • Day Walks cover 8-12km in 4-5 hours. Day walks are always on Saturdays or Sundays. We often follow a linear route, and arrange cars to return to the start point. Cost £10.

  • Short Walks allow a leisurely exploration of the rocks in a small area, and last for 2-3 hours. We return to the meeting point at the end of the walk. Short walks take place on Saturdays or Sundays at the beginning and end of the season. Cost £7.

What's involved We walk at a moderate pace with frequent stops. All walks are suitable for anyone who is reasonably fit and used to walking; however often we leave the beaten track and the surface may be rough or slippery. Walking boots are recommended. Please get in touch if you would like to find out about the suitability of a particular walk.

The walks are graded approximately as follows, to give you a guide as to what's involved:

Easy: short walk on good paths or sandy beachesModerate: not always on paths, may be rough or slippery underfoot at timesAdventurous: walking along rocky beaches, clambering over rocks, steep climbs
